2018 International Consensus on Musculoskeletal Infection

Il numero delle infezioni del sito chirurgico (SSI) dopo chirurgia ortopedica continua ad aumentare con implicazioni cliniche e socio-economiche rilevanti. Sebbene la ricerca in questo campo sia continua, il gap di conoscenza relativo a molti aspetti delle infezioni ortopediche permane.

Dopo la prima International Consensus Meeting on Periprosthetic Joint Infection del 2013, una seconda International Consensus Meeting, estesa a tutte le aree dell’ortopedia si è tenuta a Philadelphia nel 2018. Più di 800 delegati hanno partecipato al meeting e contribuito Consensus secondo il metodo Delphi (questions and responses/recommendations).
